Jeongchwiam (Sancheong)
Sancheong Jeongchwiam, a beautiful temple perched on one side of a steep cliff. It is the 83rd traditional temple established by Uisang Daesa in the 6th year of King Sinmun of Silla. For a long time, Jeongchwiam, has had numerous stories. They create a picture-like scene in unison with Mt. Daeseong’s four seasons.
As you ascend the stairs, you’ll be greeted by the Sansingak, a cultural heritage site enshrined in Sanshin Tanghwa. The breathtaking views of Mt. Daeseongsan, bathed in autumnal hues of red and yellow, and the winding stream below create a truly mesmerizing scene.
Jirisan Chilseon Valley Trail (Hamyang)
The Jirisan Chilseon Valley Trail runs along the north valley Jiri Cheonbuldong in Seorak. It is one of the best fall destinations in Gyeongnam as the steep mountains provide spectacular scenery. The Jirisan Mountain’s last virgin forest is a great resource, with seven waterfalls spanning over 18 km (11.18 Miles) from the top of Cheonwangbong Peak to Uitan in Macheon-myeon.
The hiking track, closed since 1999, has reopened with guided tours for those who make reservations in advance. This allows visitors to safely explore the pristine natural forest.
Hapcheon Lake Dulle-gil (Hapcheon)
From a path that is not overgrown with forest on the Hapcheon-ho Dulle-gil, you can see the cool and dense Hapcheon Dam. The attraction of Hapcheonho Lake Dulle-gil is the lovely scenery of early morning mountain mist and lake mist merging together.
Tourists are drawn to Hapcheonho Lake, which can be viewed when descending the Dulle-gil, since the water reflected in the sunlight sparkles like pearls. There’s also a drive-through course for social separation, with stunning views from inside your vehicle and nice winds from Lake Hapcheon.
Seochuldongryu Waterway (Geochang)
The Seochuldongryu Waterway is a hiking trail that runs from Sansu Bridge in Buksang-myeon, Geochang-gun, to Wolseong Forest and Wolseong Village.
