Are you a Star Wars fan? There are going to be so many amazing Star Wars Day events across South Korea honoring the sci-fi franchise.
To honor the legacy of the epic sci-fi fantasy, South Korea is gearing up for the Star Wars Day celebrations on May 4 with options like Jedi training, lightsaber duels, and so much more.
What is Star Wars Day?
The world celebrates the Star Wars Day annually on May 4. The date comes from the way it is phonetic similarly with the Yoda’s iconic phrase: “May the Force be with you.”
“May the fourth be with you!”
And the celebration is just grand all around the world. There are costume parades, pop-ups, fan parades, and even some exclusive merch release. South Korea has been officially celebrating the day every year since 2015.

South Korea Star Wars Day Events and Celebrations
Events at Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul
Star War fans can enjoy a special exhibition from May 1 to May 6 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul. The celebratory exhibition event for Star Wars Day will have a display of fan collections and some iconic Lego Star Wars creations. There will be a whole lot of collaborative merchandise for visitors to explore. Korean brands like System Homme and international brands like Hot Toys will have unique goodies, including clothing and figurines for fans.
Get ready for an exciting campaign booth experience! There will be interactive activities like spot-the-difference games, puzzles, and raffles. Star Wars Road and immersive media facades are also going to go live on these day, making the celebration feel out of this world!
Along with these exhibitions and parades, additional programs will entertain the visitors.
Jedi Training: If you pre-register, you can participate in a Jedi training program offering a way of learning to be a Jedi! Meditation sessions to build the Jedi mindset, mastering lightsaber skills for a class by martial arts expert, and much more. Once you complete the training, you will also get a certification of completion.
Parade at Starfield Anseong, Gyeonggi
Korean Marching Band and the 501st Legion Korea Garrison will team up and organize a massive parade at Starfield Anseong, Gyeonggi. This parade will be on May 4 and in the morning.
Star Wars Music Night
The Arte Orchestra will take you on a journey through the galaxy’s most iconic themes. The 501st Legion Korea Garrison will join the festivities with a marching performance, and the Hanmurang Club will bring the heat with a dramatic lightsaber duel. Buckle up, because it’s going to be a night to remember!
