Sansuyu – Beautiful Yellow Flowers

Gurye Sansuyu Village

You can catch the first glimpse of the spring season at this village as it arrives here the earliest. Gurye Sansuyu Village is abode to nearly 70% of the Sansuyu trees all across the nation. The whole place seems clad in yellow color in March. The village is divided into three portions: the upper village, the lower village, and the Bangok Village.

If you reach the upper village, you can see the full view of the area from here. In the lower village, you can stroll through the colorful trees. There is a place called The Sansuyu Love Park situated at the village entrance. These beautiful trees cover the landscape with white flowers every spring. The whole scene is then worth watching. These trees also provide the essential resources for the biggest plum plantation area in Korea, Cheongmaesil Farm.

Here at this farm, you will find plenty of products derived from plums like pillows, side dishes, and other items. In addition, every year Gwangyang Maehwa Festival is held. In this festival, the Cheongmaesil farm conducts many manual programs in which the person has to use plum to make eatables or other products.

Also, don’t forget to relish the delicious maehwa ice cream. It is available at almost every shop in the whole village. This ice cream is not like your regular ice cream made using normal milk cream. Instead, this maehwa ice cream offers a smooth and sweet taste of delicious unripped plums. Take one bite, and you will feel heavenly like you are eating the maehwa flowers.

Cherry Blossoms – Sweet Pink Flowers

Seomjingang Trail

Seomjingang is a 40 km long trail, and you find here a long line of cherry blossoms till the end. While walking on this trail, breathe in the refreshing scent of cherry blossoms.

Hwaeomsa Temple’s Red Cherry Tree

The temple has a beautiful higan cherry tree inside, which pulls the attention of the travelers. This big tree blooms far early compared to other varieties of the cherry tree. To witness the natural beauty of this tree, come here in April. Moreover, the tree is regarded as the Natural Monument no, 38.

Ssangsanje
