Myeongdong is in almost all itineraries to Seoul, and the place is filled with travelers around the year. And it’s no wonder why it attracts such a huge crowd. Hundreds of eateries are spread around the city resembling the Times Square of New York. Myeongdong is home to Korea’s famous street foods and beauty shopping paradises. Essentially, there’s no complete trip to Seoul without tasting Myeongdong’s famous Korean dumplings and trying out the world-famous Korean beauty regimens packed in small Kawaii cases. So, here in this article, we reveal the 10 best cafes in Myeongdong that you absolutely cannot miss on a trip to Seoul.

Stylenanda Pink Pool Cafe

Located on the 4th floor, this enchanting coffee house is a girly pool cafe decorated with shades of pink all throughout. It’s absolutely a paradise for Instagrammers for taking #OOTD shots. The cafe is based on a pool concept, one of the four themes that occupy the four floors of the building. The Pink Pool Cafe is a sight to watch with blue and pink walls and tables and a small pool setting occupying the cafe’s front. The menu is equally yummy, as is their beautiful presentation.

Center Coffee

Set up by an award-winning barista, Center Coffee is a branch of the flagship located in Seongdong-gu. This cafe’s specialty is their endless range of coffee which is the only and only product sold by the Award-winning barista Sang-ho Park. You won’t find cakes and other bites, but their coffee menu is one of the most attractive menus in all of Myeongdong, the top recommendations being Coffee Cocktail and Drip Coffee. The appeal is that of a co-working space with an urban setup and geometric interiors in different shades of coffee.

Billy Angel Cake Company

As you might have guessed, the Billy Angel Cake Company was set up in 2012, taking inspiration from the film Charlie’s Angel. This cafe shop is popular for creating an enchanting ambiance with musicals all throughout the day, and scrumptious desserts served in a bubbly Kawaii interior. This is one of those places that stays open till late to serve the food cravings of tourists through their range of delicacies wonderfully decorated and presented over cute trays. The must-have at this place is surely their Galaxy Cake.

Coffee Libre

There is nothing about the cafe that can possibly drive you out the door – from the elegant layout with high chairs and fairy lights spread in a minimalist design to the owners’ commitment to coffee making. The Myeongdong cafe stands out in the quality of coffee as the barista is committed to sourcing the best single-origin raw materials that are known to have been used in global barista championships by world-famous baristas.

Innisfree Green Cafe

The word ‘Innisfree’ brings to the mind is beauty products and sheet masks, so you can automatically imagine what the Innisfree Green Cafe might be like. An extension of the beauty brand Innisfree, this is not your average natural-setting cafe that you find down the lane. This is one of the most elegant cafes you can find in all of Myeongdong. It has a special twist to its servings – it offers all-natural preparations of coffees and teas keeping the beauty standards at par. Thus, the menu items might seem a bit costly, but they definitely have their own advantages over artificial ingredients. So, if you are ever there, don’t forget to check their Cloud Tiramisu, O’sulloc, and green tea cappuccinos.

Lurt Coffee

The minimalist yet tropical interiors of the Lurt Coffee are the first thing that enchants you once you enter the door. The next thing that will catch your eyes is their magnificent style of presenting lattes and deserts in a Masterchef buffet spread, not letting you forget the strong aroma of lattes and deserts all around you. The seating arrangement is cozy as well, so if you want some peppy pictures to add to your album, you will find plenty of places inside the cafe.

O’sulloc Tea House

O’Sulloc Matcha Green Tea Milk Spread is what this cafe is hearted for. Everyone who has had the chance of visiting Seoul once has tasted this special spread found nowhere else. The decoration of the area is beutiful and it can accommodate large groups of friends in the seating area. You can also order a takeaway from their exhaustive menu to collect your order from level 1. Either way, the place is full of greenery yet completes a modern, picture-perfect look to add to your IG feed.

Cacao Green

Brownies, cakes, cream-fills, truffles, gelato, nuts, shaved ice, lattes – this place has everything you can possibly think of (that is made of chocolate!). Yes, this is a chocolate-lovers paradise that specializes in everything chocolate. In fact, you might even be surprised by a tray of Chocolate Pizza served to you, hiding chunks of brownies inside! Look nowhere else to fulfill all your weird chocolate fetishes when in Seoul! The top recommendation would be to try any of their hot chocolate preparations and their famous Chocolate Monster Bingsu.

Cafe Coin

If you are searching for a heritage cafe site here in Myeongdong, none can serve you better than Cafe Coin. Standing tall for the last two decades, every sip tells the hidden tales of history. The place boasts an unusual ambiance with aristocratic smells and decors. Even their menu hasn’t changed a lot and has a lot to offer – from over 80 varieties of cakes, desserts, snacks, traditional Korean street food, and so on. More so than ever, you will find you have never seen such old antique furniture and paintings anywhere else. Some of these even date back to the Elizabethan era and have been collected from all over the world.

Beansbin Cafe

The last one on our list but definitely a deserving name in the list of best Myeongdong cafes. This place is exclusively for when you are craving some English preparations to feel like in America. Crawl in for some savory Belgian waffles (or any other waffle flavor! It’s that good) and cheesecake cravings while you are shopping on the streets of Myeongdong. The place is quite cozy with a touch of laid-back, relaxing vibes ready to serve your street food cravings at any time of the day.
