Kamong Espresso Café
The older sister of K-pop star Exo Kai owns a one-of-a-kind cafe. KAMONG is a portmanteau of his name, KAI, and the name of his dog, MONGGU.
Kai constructed this cafe for his sister. There are three transparent glass walls, and there are several tables and chairs to accommodate big gatherings.
It has a simple and contemporary interior with a high ceiling and wall displays of artwork, unlike the other celebrity-owned places, generally covered in photographs. It also sells mugs and tumblers in addition to handcrafted cookies, waffles, and coffee.
Magnate
If you’re thinking about a BTS-themed getaway in the future, add MAGNATE to your itinerary. Mr. Park, Jimin’s father, runs and owns MAGNATE, a cafe in Busan’s Jimin’ hometown. When you enter MAGNATE, be prepared to be shocked by the interior design’s elegance. The magnificent grandeur of the lovely chandelier is tempered by modest, basic furniture and appealing Pop Art and industrial accents.
The ambiance of this cafe owned by K-pop idol’s family is opulent and refined, yet the food is modestly priced for most visitors. MAGNATE serves delectable pastries and creamy delights that will keep you returning for more. Jimin’s hat is on display in this cafe, which is a secret link for fans of BTS. A casual visitor may not realize that this café has a tie to Jimin, but if you look closely, you’ll see his cap on display.
Mouse Rabbit Café
Super Junior Yesung’s brother and mother launched Mouse Rabbit Cafe near Kokuk University in Seoul. It’s a small coffee shop run by Yesung’s brother and mother. Yesung and his brother “Jongjin” designed the logo and interior.
Yesung’s brother will provide you the chance to try his unique coffee, as well as a wide range of sweet and savory dishes like cake, honey bread, honey butterball, burrito, and muffin. Lime and lemon mojitos are also available in this K-pop idol family’s cafes.
A unique feature of this cafe is the rabbit hole-like basement, where you may remove your shoes and relax. Young couples and students frequent this location and Yesung’s followers.
Café Aewol Monsant
In South Korea, Jeju Island is a popular tourist destination. It’s a volcanic island with stunning ocean views and delicious seafood. Don’t forget to visit Big Bang’s G-Dragon’s café on the island if you have the opportunity. He was involved in designing much of its interior design!
Even for non-fans, Cafe Aewol Monsant is a prominent place on the island since it has large glass windows that overlook the sea. It’s ideal for unwinding after a day of touring when you can munch on some snacks and snap plenty of photos.
Grill5taco
K-pop star Donghae (Super Junior) owns the Grill5taco Cheongdam branch. Since there are no indications inside and outside the restaurant that a K-pop idol holds it, it will be impossible to notice. It is located in the Cheongdam area, in the southern part of Seoul, along with Dosan Park.
Kimchi quesadillas and fusion tacos are the restaurant’s most popular dishes. The food is complemented well with fresh beer. The restaurant also offers take-out service. Many foreign tourists visit this place because of its prominence.
Nerd On Earth
You may eat bar foods and creative cocktails while enjoying an exceptional atmosphere at this restaurant, opened by Im Seul Ong of boyband 2 AM. As a result of its design and cuisine, the bar has become one of the most well-known in Itaewon. The establishment allows customers to bring their dogs inside with them. Why? Because Seulong adores canines!
The inside is gloomy and foreboding, illuminated by dim red and blue lights. The rooftop terrace offers a magnificent vista of Itaewon. The “Nerd Wrap” (arugula leaves, dried tomato, and ricotta cheese), “Beef Brisket Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup,” and vibrant alcoholic beverages are all available on the menu at ‘Nerd On Earth.’ It is a favorite destination for celebrities and trendy hipsters, so keep your eyes peeled (as much as you can in the dark)!
Everything But The Hero Café
Jo In Sung had become a well-known name since her career began in 2004 when she played the female lead role in Something Happened in Bali. The actor purchased a three-story building in Itaewon and opened a café for his brother.
The name of the place, Everything But The Hero Café, will pique your interest not just because it is unusual but also because of its decor. They’re well-known for their hand-dipped coffee cakes, so don’t forget to try some.
JYP’s Soul Cup Café
J.Y. Park, the CEO and creator of JYP Entertainment, has developed a distinct taste of organic foods for his followers to enjoy! JYP is famous for putting the health and safety of its artists first, one of the reasons why JYP established an organic-based canteen exclusively for artists and employees. The Soul Cup is open to the general public as well as JYP artists.
Furthermore, it’s true that some of JYP’s groups, such as Stray Kids and TWICE, frequently pay a visit to the cafe – which is another incentive to go and why it’s on the list of K-pop idol’s cafes and restaurants!
Ossu Seiromushi
Kim Seok Jin, a member of BTS, runs Ossu Seiromushi with his brother. Ossu’s exteriors appear to be a traditional Japanese restaurant with cozy and private dining rooms. They frequently offer authentic Japanese cuisine in wooden steamers to keep the flavors and colors of the meats and veggies distinct.
The food at Osu Seiromushi is basic and healthy, appealing to both locals and tourists that keep coming back for more.
Café 89 Mansion
If you enjoy While You Were Sleeping and Doctor Stranger, a visit to Lee Jong Suk’s café in Gangnam is a must. In 2017, Café 89 Mansion opened its doors where celebrities frequently go shopping and dining. The café is a two-story establishment with dramatic black interiors, and the star designed them.
There’s a café on the first floor and a restaurant and bar on the second. The walls are ideal for photography! While Lee Jong Suk’s fans can get a chance to see the actor in his café, he is currently serving in the military.
These are just a handful of the restaurants and cafes owned and run by K-pop idol and their families. When you get the chance, explore this region and sample their cuisine. You may also express your affection for your favorite idols.
