Yoon’s Grill

One of the greatest Korean barbeque restaurants in Hongdae is Yoon’s Grill. The samgyeopsal (Korean-style pork belly barbeque) is extremely succulent and flavorful and goes wonderfully with the numerous side dishes available – from spaghetti and soup to fried rice and noodles. If you’re daring, there are several varieties of fusion cuisine to try with the barbeque. Everything is delicious here, which is no surprise given its popularity among locals and visitors! It’s only a ten-minute walk from Hongik University subway station.

Myth Jokbal

Jokbal, composed of pig’s hocks, is popular in Korea. Steaming a pig’s boat in a flavorful stock seasoned with various spices eliminates the distinctive pork aroma. When the horrible odor is added to the powerful spice, the flavor of the jokbal is determined. The shape of the pig’s feet varies with the season and taste. People prefer cold jokbal in summer or cold jokbal salad. A strong mustard flavor dominates at the base of this soy sauce dish.

The Myth Jokbal is a pig lover’s paradise. You may stuff your face with as much Jokbal as you like at this restaurant, in addition to rice and noodles. If you want to eat here, make your reservations ahead of time. You could be waiting a long period if you don’t!

Makgeolli Salon

This old makgeolli house in Hongdae is highly recommended for those who enjoy traditional Korean makgeolli. You may try a variety of local makgeollis, such as Goyang Baedari Makgeolli, Dangjin Baekryeon Makgeolli, Buyeo Albam Makgeolli, and Wonju Corn Makgeolli. Smoothie makgeolli with sweet fruits is also available to people new to makgeolli. This restaurant will be ideal for a special date night with Korean food like Jeon, Tofu-Kimchi, and Bossam, all of which go well with makgeolli. Makgeolli Salon in Hongdae has been popular among locals for over ten years.

Pork Gomguk Soup- Okdongsik

The award-winning restaurant has captured the hearts of all foodies who visit to try the delicious pork broth soup with rice. The dish is prepared using black pork bone and flesh that has been slow-cooked for a long time. The thinly sliced pork meat is delicate and soft and blends beautifully with the rice and soup. There are no MSG or preservatives in the kimchi. Additionally, because the ambiance at this restaurant makes you feel welcome, there are only 100 bowls available daily.

Hong Ma Garlic Tteokbokki

Tteokbokki, a spicy Korean rice cake dish, is one of Korea’s most popular street foods. If you’re in Korea, you should try fiery tteokbokki. Hong Ma Garlic Tteokbokki shines here: the crispy garlic pairs well. Most Koreans dislike garlic because it tastes too strong; however, many people adore its flavor. Cream cheese Gimbap, garlic fried shrimp, and onion rings are other popular street dishes.

Gaemijip Hongdae

The name “Gaemijip” is that of a famous Busan restaurant. The restaurant’s octopus (octopus, pig intestines, and shrimp-covered stew) is well-known. In Hongdae, Seoul, Gaemijip opened a shop! The Nak-Gop-Sae (small octopus) is also available to foreigners who enjoy spicy tastes. You may mix and match the fiery soup’s ingredients to create your unique meal. Some places serve just octopuses, while others feature Nakji (tiny octopus) and shrimp. Pick the toppings that appeal to you most. Naksae serves a bowl of rice with Nak-Gop-Sae out. You can combine bean sprouts, chives, seaweed powder, and Nak-Gop-Sae to make delicious bibimbap after eating all the toppings.

Choma

Choma is a restaurant that specializes in Jjambbong, which has been served for three generations. A Korean Chinese noodle soup with red, spicy seafood- or pork-based broth is called jjamppong. Jjamppong is a Korean dish in which noodles, seafood, and vegetables are stir-fried. There are two types of Jjamppong available: ordinary Jjamppong with a spicy flavor and White Jjamppong with a delicate udon taste. The fiery soup with the texture of crunchy veggies and the flavor of fire is fantastic. You should also try Tangsuyuk, fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, and other house specialties such as Jjamppong.

Burgers Almighty

The Almighty burgers in Hongdae are huge, delicious, and memorable. You will undoubtedly return to try other burgers. The American cheeseburgers are from 100% Australian and American beef, which makes them extra juicy and delectable. The bun is produced by top Korean bakers who ensure it’s soft, fluffy, and delicious. The ideal match for your American cheeseburger is French fries and a coke. You must try the American cheeseburger. You can order extra meat patties as well. They also offer a soft chicken burger if you want to consume chicken.
