According to the TripAdvisor 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards, Seoul is the top travel destination for solo travelers!

The TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for 2025: Best of the Best Destinations were announced on January 9th to celebrate the highest excellence in travel. And voila, one of the South Korean city made it to the top of the list!

The Travellers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best title is for the cream of the crop in travel. It goes to those who get a ton of rave reviews and opinions from the Tripadvisor community over a whole year. Out of the 8 million listings, only a tiny fraction of them make it to this level.

World’s Best Solo Travel Destination – Seoul

This is the biggest and most famous museum in Korea, with over 420,000 exhibits in its collection. It’s got six permanent galleries, like Calligraphy and Painting, and the Room of Quiet Contemplation. The modern, spacious, and airy museum is a great introduction to the history of the Korean Peninsula. From ancient times to the end of World War II, the story is told through artifacts made of stone, clay, bronze, iron, silver, gold, and shell inlay.

N Seoul Tower

Nestled atop a 262-meter peak in Namsan Park, this tower stands tall at an impressive 480 meters above sea level. When the weather and pollution are on your side, you can enjoy breathtaking views from the observation deck . It is at 370 meters above sea level giving you views of in the entire city and its surrounding areas. It is a great spot to catch a panoramic view of Seoul, even if you aren’t at top of the tower. There are plenty of restaurants and water fountains at the top, so you can relax and enjoy the view for a couple of hours.
