Busan is a gorgeous city well-known for its picturesque beaches and breathtaking mountain views. The ability to see both the ocean and the mountains is a huge bonus that draws mountain and ocean lovers from far-off places. But to appreciate Busan fully, you should watch sunrises here. Haeundae Beach

Haeundae Beach is a popular tourist destination and with its vibrant sandy beach and unrestricted coastal views becomes the ideal location to watch amazing sunrises. Dalmaji Pass and Dongbaekseom Island are situated at both ends of this beach. So, when the sun appears over the skyline, the skyscrapers get illuminated, creating a spectacular scene.

The landscape is further enhanced by the constant breaking of the waves and the white sea foam, which blends flawlessly with the crimson glare of the rising sun.

Gwangalli Beach

The next popular sunrise destination in Busan is Gwangalli Beach. The rising sun drapes the Gwangandaegyo Bridge under a golden veil, displaying its splendor above the Gwangalli seashore. Slowly the entire beach turns golden and looks very serene.

We can assure you of some breathtaking sunrise snaps.

Songjeong Beach

To watch the sunrise peacefully, you should consider Songjeong Beach. This beach, also regarded as a surfing paradise, has a remote setting that protects the treasures of nature. The perfect points to watch the sunrise on Songjeong Beach are Songiljeong Pavilion and Jukdo Park at the shores of the water.

As the sun comes up between the sea cliffs, the image of the Songiljeong Pavilion forms an exciting contrast with the crimson sky. The beach gets bathed in a burst of golden hue, which, together with the image of Paddleboarders floating in the water, creates an out-of-the-world scene.

Jukseong Catholic Church

Jukseong Catholic Church is renowned for its deep blue water, which looks fantastic both in broad daylight as well as in pitch darkness. The location is famous as a scenic sunrise spot and attracts several people who come to view the stunning spectacle.

The blazing crimson sky merges together with the landscape behind the structure with a steeple shaped like a conventional square pyramid, producing a fantastic sight. This lighthouse looks strikingly spectacular in the morning as it silently observes the fishing vessels pass accompanied by a group of seabirds.

We suggest you record some time-lapse sunrise videos in Busan, if possible, to create a beautiful memory of the scenes you will witness.

Orangdae Park

The imposing Yongwangdan Altar here welcomes the sun as it rises in the morning. If the weather conditions are favorable, you can enjoy the sun rising over the tranquil ocean, which often experiences raging waves. The scene shows a beautiful symmetry between the rising crimson ball and the Yongwangdan Altar.

Visitors come to this park to see the sunrise while taking in the sounds of the splashing waves across the rocky surfaces and witnessing the seabirds chittering out their own musical songs. Some also offer a brief prayer to the sea Gods to keep the conditions of the waters good or to express a wish for the upcoming year.

Haedong Yonggungsa Temple

When the sun rises, it is a sight to behold. Amidst all the temples in Busan, this Buddhist temple offers the perfect spot to experience the earliest sunrise. Upon reaching the temple by taking the stone pathway, you can view the tremendous majestic ocean.

However, this holy place is beautiful not just because of the great ocean views but also because enchanting pine trees encircle it. The smell of the pines, together with the scent of the burning incense sticks in the temple, make the air very rich.

Koreans frequently visit this shrine to worship for their children’s academic success as well as the health and wealth of their families. We suggest you wait a few more hours after sunrise to see how picturesque the temple becomes in broad daylight.
