Daejeon has a lot to offer, whether you want to dance all night, see some live music, or just have a drink with your friends. In this blog post, we will take a look at five of the best nightlife attractions in Daejeon!
So, without further ado, let’s get started!
Santa Claus
Santa Claus is a bar that opened in 1993. It has a warm atmosphere, similar to Cheers. Many of the customers are regulars who welcome newcomers. There are a lot of foreigners that go there, especially Ph.D. students. It is known as a “foreigner” bar, but Koreans are always welcome. The proprietor is Korean and is kind and helpful to both foreign visitors and Koreans. His signature dish is fajitas, and he also offers an “All Day Brunch,” enormous salads, hot dogs, and some of the city’s greatest burgers.
The bar’s interior has a dartboard, pool table, foosball tables, and many board games. There are also big tables that are good for groups and private booths for friends or couples who want more privacy. There is also a TV for watching sports or other programming and the proprietor’s amazing collection of CDs. Customers can pick their own music. The bar has a concept of a rock pub, but customers can choose any song they want to listen to. People use YouTube to find songs, or they can choose from the owner’s playlist. Another benefit to Santa’s is the recent addition of soju. Dancing sometimes occurs there since the pool table and other tables have enough space between them.
Ranch Pub
The Ranch Pub, located just a few doors down from Santa’s, is well-known for its high-quality beer in Korea. New brews are brought to the market now and then, ensuring that Ranch remains a fantastic place to visit. The restaurant is dark and has a coffee shop ambiance. It’s moderately lighted and has a low music volume, which gives it a more peaceful vibe than other noisier bars. The majority of the customers are Korean. The Koreans employed there speak excellent English and provide outstanding customer service.
El Mariachi
On foot, the restaurant is only a minute’s walk from Santa’s and Ranch. It features a diverse selection of signature cocktails. Beer and coffee are also available. The owner, a handsome gentleman, wears a tie, suit coat, etc. He designed the artwork that is displayed on the walls. The bar’s unique design with its distinctive windows, neon signs, and furniture is a work of art in itself. The front of the restaurant displays an enormous movie screen playing classic films (sound off so as not to disturb customers). The music is soft jazz, and the volume level is almost always low. There isn’t much lighting, which adds to the mystique of the location. It’s a unique, dark place that reminds me of an old-fashioned jazz club but is also distinct because of the movie figurines and his own brand of one-of-a-kind cocktails.
Thursday Party
Many tourists who visit Dunsan-dong at night eventually wind up in this beer bar somewhere during the evening or early morning. It’s a fairly long walk from a metro station. This pub is recognized for its excellent brews. The pleasant ambiance provides a welcome sense of comfort to visitors’ stays at this bar.
Take Exit 2 from City Hall and walk to the Galleria department store. Cross the street opposite the big McDonald’s sign and walk down the road on your left. After you reach the end of the road, turn right. The bar is located down a street on your left.
Mustang Pub
The bar, which is located on the second floor and has a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, serves draught beer and shots. It’s a popular gathering spot for students who seem to prefer pizza to beer. It is a great place to start exploring Eunhaeng-dong. Walk straight and turn right at the church near the Jungang-ro metro station.
