On February 5, the official operator of Everland Korea Theme Park, Samsung C&T, revealed that they would expand the festival’s content using characters from Japanese entertainment company Sanrio to level up this year’s spring festival. This expansion is a follow-up action to the park’s immense success after the first collaboration with the IP last year.
Previously, Everland Korea Theme Park hosted a massive outdoor spring flower festival featuring Japan’s pastel-toned Sanrio characters. This event turned the beautiful flower garden into a large-scale festival with exclusive character-themed merchandise, food, and beverages, making it a must-visit for fans.
As the first-ever large-scale outdoor collaboration for Sanrio in South Korea, the festival has drawn massive success. It quickly became a hit among Generation Alpha, Generation Z, families, and tour groups, drawing widespread attention not only from local but also overseas visitors.
