Here Are Some Worth-Visiting “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” Filming Locations

Dangsan Railway Bridge

One of the filming locations of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” that we can see often is the Dangsan Railway Bridge. In the entry section of each episode, we can see Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) taking the train that crosses this bridge to work.

Dangsan Railway Bridge was completed in November 1983 as the third railway bridge on the Han River. The bridge connects Dangsan-dong in the Yeongdeungpo District and Hapjeong-dong in the Mapo District.

Centerfield West

Appears as ‘Centerboild‘ in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” it is the workplace of Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin), Hanbada Law Firm.

[SPOILER ALERT!] In episode 9 of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”,” Lee Jun-ho (Kang Tae Oh) confesses his feelings to Woo Young-woo in front of this building, too.

Kajaguruma

One of the filming locations of Extraordinary Attorney Woo is the Japanese restaurant, Kajaguruma. It appears as “Woo Young-woo Kimbap,” a restaurant owned and managed by Young-woo’s father, Woo Gwang-hoo (Jeon Bae Soo). Besides, the son and daughter live on the second floor of the restaurant.

Kajaguruma (카자구루마) opened in 2019 as a small Japanese restaurant in Suwon’s neighborhood Haenggung-dong, Paldal-gu

Hapduk High School

In a flashback scene in episode 4 of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” , it’s seen that Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) and Dong Geu-ra-mi (Joo Hyun Young) attended this high school. Hapduk or also written as Hapdeok High School (합덕고등학교), is located in the village of Soso (Soso-ri), Dangjin’s Hapdeok Township.

Soso Korean Pub

Kim Min-sik (Im Sung Jae) owns the pub, where Dong Geu-ra-mi (Joo Hyun Young) works in Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) also meets her high school best friend, Dong Geu-ra-mi, a lot here.

Soso Korean Pub opened in April 2020 and is located in Goyang’s neighborhood, Daehwa-dong, Ilsanseo-gu.

Parc.1 Complex

Fairmont Ambassador Seoul

In episode 2, Lee Jun-ho (Kang Tae Oh) has to investigate the wedding gown case with attorney Choi Su-yeon (Ha Yoon Kyung). However, attorney Choi has a stomachache, and they stop in this building. Later, Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) brings attorney Choi’s replacement trousers.

Besides Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Parc.1 complex has become one of the common filming locations for Kdramas and movies, such as Dal and Cocky Prince (2021), Penthouse S1 and S2 (2020-2021), Peninsula (2020), South and North (2019).

Hyundai Department Store, Yeouido Branch (The Hyundai Seoul/Hyundai Parkone)

In episode 6, Choi Su-yeon (Ha Yoon Kyung) and Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) go shopping here. At the same time, Tae Su-mi (Jin Kyung) looks around the shops in this building.

Parc.1 Complex is an extensive shopping, hotel, and office complex with red-hued steel truss inspired by the red pillars used in traditional Korean architecture to symbolize dignity and class.

Seongdong Detention Center

Choi Su-yeon (Ha Yoon Kyung) and Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) visit inmate Gye Hyang-sim (Kim Hieora) at Seongdong Detention Center. The two colleagues handle the case where they should defend Hyang-sim for the case of the ‘North Korean Defector’s Assault & Robbery Case.’

Seongdong Detention Center was founded in 1977 and was still in use until 2017.

On The Desk Cafe

Hanbada Law Firm attorneys make the mothers of the children involved in the ‘School Bus Hijacking Case’ meet up with the mother, Director Choi Seong-Suk (Chu Kwi Jung), of the accused, Bang Gu-Ppong’s (Koo Gyo Hwan) in episode 9 at this cafe.

On the Desk Cafe is located in Seongnam’s neighborhood, Seohyeon-dong), Bundang-gu.

Woonsan Korean Restaurant – Yeouido Branch

In episode 10, Kwon Min-woo (Joo Jong Hyuk) meets up with sunbae attorney Kim who has studied with Tae Su-mi (Jin Kyung). Min-woo wants to confirm his hunch that Tae Su-mi is related to Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin)

Deoksugung Palace Stonewall Walkway

One of the romantic filming locations of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is the Deoksugung Palace Stonewall Walkway. Woo Young-woo (Park Eun Bin) and Lee Jun-ho (Kang Tae Oh) walk down this alleyway on an evening date in episode 10.

During the evening walk, Young-woo explains to Jun-ho, “Have you heard of the saying that lovers who walk the Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway together will break up? […] In the past, the Seoul Family Court and the Supreme Court were at the north end of the Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway. This saying originated from having t go down this walkway to get a divorce.”

‘Walls of Deoksugung Palace’ or ‘Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway’ is a 1.1 kilometers long walkway around Deoksugung Palace [덕수궁]. However, the most famous part and primarily seen in Kdramas is the Deoksugung-gil, a street with a very broad sidewalk.
