1. North Chungcheong Province

It seems that “Crash Course in Romance” was filmed throughout the North Chungcheong Province (Chungbuk). The production team possibly travels across the province to tape various interior and exterior scenes.

2. Nam Haeng Son’s “Nation’s Best Banchan”

One of the most famous “Crash Course in Romance” filming locations is Nam Haeng Son’s (Jeon Do-yeon) side-dish store, “Nation’s Best Banchan.” Some reports said that the production team of “Crash Course in Romance” deliberately built this building for filming. However, some others said that the space previously housed Café Igot/Café Here [카페이곳].

“Crash Course in Romance” was filmed here for about half a year. During that time, somebody added the fictional name “Nation’s Best Banchan” on Naver Map, and some people came to buy side dishes in this store thinking it was an actual store.

3. Polar Day Campsite (폴라데이 캠핑장)

Another trending filming location of “Crash Course in Romance” is the love-blooming campsite. Located in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province, the Polarday Campsite is where Nam Haeng Son and her family spend their time camping. They meet Choi Chi Yeol (Jung Kyung-ho) fishing alone, and Nam Haeng Son asks him to join her family activity there.

[SPOILER] As a result, viewers get a romantic sunset scene between Nam Haeng Son and Choi Chi Yeol while listening to KONA’s “Our Night Is More Beautiful Than Your Day.”

This building is where Choi Chi Yeol lives, as seen in several episodes. Completed in 2019, the building is a co-owned six-story luxury villa (with two basement floors) by the company Le Garden. In fact, the building houses 16 households, all facing South towards the Han River.

When Nam Haeng Son has to stay at the hospital to accompany Jae Woo, who gets a panic attack, Choi Chi Yeol initiates picking her up and making sure she eats her dinner. On the way back to the hospital, Nam Haeng Son falls asleep in the passenger seat. Choi Chi Yeol decides to drive by the Mapo Bridge so Haeng Son can sleep longer.

[SPOILER] In the next episode, when Chi Yeol and Haeng Son were officially dating, they stopped by the bridge again, offering viewers a more romantic scene.

Located in Seoul’s neighborhood of Mok, in the Yangcheon-gu, floors 2 to 5 of the Daesung building is actually the house of Kim Jong-gil Korean Language Writing Academy Omokgwan.

The exclusive circle of mothers whose children attend the Pride Academy often hang out in this café. The building is a 20-story high commercial and apartment building in Songpa-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.

One of the filming locations of Kdrama “Crash Course in Romance” is Inha University High School. Nam Hae Yi (Roh Yeon Seo) and Lee Sun Jae (Lee Chae Min) attend this school, with the fictional name Woorim High School.

Established in 1971 or 1972, Inha University High School is a humanities high school located in Hagik-dong, in the Michuhol-gu (formerly Nam-gu)

Choi Chi Yeol, accompanied by his secretary-friend Ji Dong Hui (Shin Jae Ha), pays his respect to Nam Haeng Son’s mother, the late Jung Yeon-sun (Kim Mi-kyung), at this temple.

Yakcheonsa Temple often appears as Kdrama filmiing locations. It is actually a Buddhist temple on Simhaksan Mountain in Gyoha-dong, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do. We can see North Korea from the top of the mountain.
