What is Sky Capsule Busan?

You can experience the beauty of Haeundae Beach from a unique perspective with the Sky Capsule. This scenic ride offers panoramic views of the coastline as you glide along an elevated railway track in colorful, retro-style capsules.

Key Features

  • A Scenic Ride: Embark on a 2.3-kilometer adventure along the picturesque Haeundae coastline, taking in breathtaking views of the ocean, city, and surrounding landscape.
  • Romantic Experience: Create unforgettable memories with your loved one as you glide through the air, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. The Sky Capsule offers a romantic and intimate experience that is perfect for couples.
  • Leisurely Pace: Relax and unwind as you leisurely cruise along the elevated track. The slow pace allows you to fully appreciate the stunning scenery and capture memorable photos. The ride lasts for 30 minutes where you can get away from the busy city and relax and take in the beauty.

The Sky Capsule uses the former Donghae Nambu Line railway track in Haeundae Blueline Park. The railway track is elevated about 7-10 meters above the ground, making it possible to take in the far off sights.

Ticketing

You can book tickets directly from the Blueline Park website or you can go with a trusted travel website which usually offer a combination packages with other nearby sights.

  • 2 people: ₩35,000 (~US$26)
  • 3 people: ₩45,000 (~US$33)
  • 4 people: ₩50,000 (~US$36)

You also get an option to combine the ticket with Blueline Park Beach Train. What’s important to note is that there isn’t an option to book a single person ticket. So, even if you are traveling solo, you will have to buy tickets for two.

These tickets are also one way tickets, so you have to find your own ride back if you want to return to the same place. You can also opt for another one way ticket which will take you back.

There’s also an in-site ticketing option. But, keep note that the on-site ticket office has a limited supply of same-day tickets. To avoid disappointment, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance online. Keep in mind that on-site tickets often sell out early in the morning.

Operating Hours and Schedule

The Sky Capsule operates daily, with the first train departing at 9 AM. However, the last train departure time varies depending on the season:

  • Winter Season (November, December, January, February): Last train around 6 PM
  • Off-Season (March, April, October): Last train around 6:30 PM
  • High Season (May, June, September): Last train around 7:30 PM
  • Peak Season (July, August): Last train around 8:30 PM

Please note that operating hours may change due to demand. Weekends and holidays are considered peak periods, so it’s recommended to plan your visit accordingly.

How to Get There?

You can reach the Blueline Park using any of the public transportation options in Busan.

  • Take Metro Line 2 (Green Line) to Jungdong Station.
  • From there, it’s a 15-minute walk to Mipo Station.

Bus:

  • Board the 1003 bus and get off at Mipo, Moontan Road Entrance.
  • The Sky Capsule station is just a 6-minute walk away.
