Ehwa Woman’s University Seoul Hospital
The Ehwa Woman’s University Seoul Hospital in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, was used to film many sequences in Hospital Playlist. The emergency room’s entrance and the hospital’s bustling lobby are examples of these. The hospital café shown in the program is based on one at Ehwa Woman’s University Seoul Hospital. Furthermore, the café is open to the public, allowing you to recreate events from the drama.
Su Noraebang
Ik-jun and his son visit a noraebang to sing some songs in episode 3 of Hospital Playlist. They go to Su Noraebang in Hongdae, a posh karaoke bar. Bring your buddies and flaunt your vocal prowess!
Hanam Pig Samseong COEX
If you’ve ever watched Hospital Playlist, you’ll recognize this restaurant. The neurosurgery team visited Hanam Pig for supper in the scenario above. We remember our mouths watering at the sound of sizzling meat! Hanam Pig is a prominent Korean BBQ restaurant with locations all throughout the country. It’s known for soft meat cuts, which the staff will prepare to your specifications. Make this a must-do when you visit Korea!
Egg Drop
In episode 4, Ik-jun and his son Uju visited the famed sandwich shop, Egg Drop. It is a popular breakfast option in Seoul.
Tohyang
In episode 7, the group of employees visited a typical Korean restaurant, as seen in the scene above. As a thank you, the restaurant owner treats Jeong-won and his buddies. Tohyang is a Paju-based restaurant.
Oh Byung Ga Instant Tteokbokki
Oh, Byung Ga Instant Tteokbokki is the name of a tteokbokki restaurant seen in episode 8 of the show. Since the show aired, it appears that the eatery has grown in popularity.
Jinbat Guksu
Remember when Ik-jun and Song-hwa went out for lunch on a rainy day in Hospital Playlist episode 9? The noodle eatery Jinbat Guksu in Goyang was used to film this scene. Jinbat Guksu is a traditional Korean eatery that has remained relatively unchanged over the years. A visit here will give you a sense of how Korean eateries looked in the 1980s. If you like noodles, this is a must-visit.
Café Moondoor
When Jun-girlfriend wan’s Ik-sun tells him that she intends to study for her Ph.D. abroad, she mentions this café in episode 9. Her confession implies that their relationship, which they hadn’t been dating for very long, is now in jeopardy. The café is situated in a picturesque area of Goyang. I’ll have to look into this one as well.
Bon Appetit Yeouido
The physicians dine at Bon Appetit, an Italian restaurant in Seoul’s Yeouido district, in episode 10 of the show. This mid-to-high-priced restaurant has an exquisite and welcoming ambiance, as demonstrated in the drama. If you visit Yeouido, don’t miss out on a delicious pasta lunch at the restaurant!
Kao Kao Pub
The neurosurgeon team goes out to eat and drink together in episode 11. Ik-jun finally admits to Song-hwa that he loves her in this episode. KAO KAO Pub, near Hapjeong Station, was used to film the scene. In the drama 18 Again, the pub is also included.
Yeonseungwon
Do you recall Jun-jjajangmyeon Wan’s with his girlfriend, Ik-sun? We get sweaty just staring at all that chili pepper! Do you want to try your hand at making spicy ramen? Pocheon and Yeonseungwon are two of the best places to visit in South Korea.
Hospital Playlist
Lee Ik-jun is a liver transplant specialist and assistant professor of general surgery. Ahn Jeong-won, an assistant professor of pediatric surgery, is unapologetically good at whatever he sets his mind to and is generous and attentive to his patients. Kim Jun-wan is a chilly, professional associate professor of cardiothoracic surgery. Yang Seok-hyeong, an assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology, is a reserved and reclusive physician. Chae Song-hwa is a neurosurgery associate professor and the lone female in the group of pals. Her co-workers think she’s perfect: she’s kind to patients, has performed hundreds of successful surgery, and has a wonderful attitude.
