Travel Between Cities in South Korea More Conveniently with Your Personal Bank Card

The days of limited travel in South Korea is finally over! Intercity bus terminals are finally accepting your international bank card to purchase bus tickets and travel around the beautiful cities of South Korea.

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) announced on August 6 that all intercity bus terminals in South Korea had now accepted payment using a tourist’s international bank card starting July 31. With this new update, foreign tourists will be able to use an international bank card to purchase bus tickets from approximately 243 locations and travel between cities in South Korea, hassle-free!

Previously, foreign tourists in South Korea have faced many challenges when trying to purchase bus tickets using a bank card issued in their home countries. This was due to the limited acceptance of international cards by some local payment systems and transportation networks.

But today, you can finally experience more convenient travel between the beautiful cities in South Korea without having to bother dealing with limited cash or cater to multiple payment systems. All you need is just that one personal bank card you own!

Foreign Tourists Can Now Purchase Bus Tickets Online Via Mobile App

We all know how foreign tourists often feel pressed for time. That’s why South Korea is working to make your travel easier by allowing you to purchase intercity bus tickets through a mobile app, eliminating one more hassle from your journey.

Starting from August 16, both Intercity Bus travel app and Bustago mobile app will further open their payment systems for overseas bank card. These two are the main apps frequently used for intercity bus travel in South Korea.
