“Kpop Jeju Content”: New Collaboration Project with Pledis Entertainment

The government of Jeju Island recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Pledis Entertainment, one of the label subsidiaries under the Kpop giant company and home of BTS, HYBE. The MOU was to arrange a new collaboration project featuring Kpop idols from Pledis Entertainment to develop Kpop-based content to elevate your travel experience and itinerary in Jeju Island.

Governor of Jeju Island Oh Young Hun signed the MOU with Pledis Entertainment CEO Lee Da Hye last week at the Hybe headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul. Along with the governor and CEO, other representatives from both sides also attended the ceremony.

The new collaboration project is called the “Kpop Jeju Content.” This project aims to resurrect the tourism industry in Jeju Island by creating exciting content with Kpop idols that highlight the island’s appeal.

Through this project, both the Jeju government and Pledis also plan to improve their brand value. How? Jeju plans to use the partnership to promote the island and revive its tourism industry using various Kpop performances and content.

Meanwhile, Pledis Entertainment will be able to strengthen the Kpop industry on Jeju Island through this partnership. Not only that, the company will also be able to improve its idols’ brands in both local and international markets through various tourism programs.

At the same time, this new collaboration project with Pledis Entertainment will also elevate your Jeju Island travel itinerary.

As you plan your trips and visit various exquisite travel destinations in Jeju, you can also attend programs featuring Kpop idols from Pledis Entertainment, including Seventeen, Hwang Min Hyun, fromis_9, and TWS.

All the possible programs you can expect from the “Kpop Jeju Content” collab include:

  • K-pop Content Featuring Jeju: The partnership will most likely produce Kpop-related content that highlights the beauty and unique attractions of Jeju Island. This could include music videos, performances, or other forms of media that blend Kpop with Jeju’s landscapes and culture.
  • Tourism Promotion: The program aims to boost Jeju’s tourism by using Kpop idols as a major draw. Travelers can expect promotional campaigns that link Kpop with Jeju’s attractions, possibly encouraging fans to visit the island.
  • Kpop Performances: The collab also mentioned Kpop performances as part of the plan, which means there could be live concerts or special events featuring Pledis Entertainment’s idols organized on the island. These performances will not only elevate your Jeju Island travel experience but also a possible chance of meeting your favorite Kpop idols.
  • Focus on Domestic and International Tourists: The collaboration aims to attract both domestic and international travelers to Jeju, likely offering experiences that appeal to a global Kpop audience.

Can You Really Meet Your Idols on Your Travel to Jeju?

As a result, soon enough, you will be able to formulate the best travel itinerary to Jeju Island with special Kpop travel programs, giving yourself just the perfect fulfilment of both of your passions as a traveler and a Kpop fan.

While meeting the idols in person may not be guaranteed as of today’s update, the Kpop performances and content of this partnership will possibly include concerts, events, or other promotional activities attended by Pledis Entertainment idols.
