Kpop-Inspired Locations Kpop Fans Must Visit in South Korea

1. Gwangju Kpop Star Street

When you visit downtown Gwangju, you will find the pictures and names of several of your favorite idols whose hometown is Gwangju. What makes it more astonishing is that there is a star memorial hall and mural that shows various albums from multiple artists.

Of course, you can’t miss the sculpture inspired by BTS j-hope’s HOPE WORLD mixtape, filled with 21,800 messages of love from ARMYs all over the world.

Besides j-hope of BTS, other Kpop idols from Gwangju are Yunho of TVXQ, I.M of MONSTA X, Yunho of ATEEZ, Yoojung and Mill of OnlyOneOf, Seungmin of Golden Child, Yoon of STAYC, Lee Nagyung of fromis_9,  Bae Suzy to name a few.

2. Gangnam Kstar Road

Along the main street of Gangnam, you can find bear statues inspired by your favorite Kpop idols. From Kpop girl groups like 4Minute, MissA, Girl’s Generation to Kpop boy groups like 2PM, FT Island, CNBLUE, Monsta X, EXO, and many others. Surely you can stop by in front of your favorite idol’s bear to take pictures.

3. Gangnam Style Statue

Still at Gangnam, you can visit one of Kpop-isdpired locations: the iconic Gangnam Style statue, to commemorate Psy’s mega-hit “Gangnam Style.” The statue is located in front of COEX Mall’s East Gate.

4. Seoul Forest

A nature lover must love this spot! There is a beautiful forest in the middle of Seoul city. “RM Soop” or “RM Forest” is the first forest built by ARMY (BTS fans) on RM’s 26th birthday. But that’s not all; there is actually more than one forest dedicated to BTS leader RM or Kim Namjoon. This should absolutely be on the bucket list of ARMY!

5. Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

It might need extra effort to visit Busan Gamcheon Culture Village, but trust me, it’s worth it. You can see beautiful art there, including a giant mural of Jimin and Jungkook of BTS. Known as the hometown of Jimin and Jungkook, there is a lot to visit and experience in Busan.

6. SMTOWN COEX Artium

One of the must-visit Kpop-inspired locations is SMTOWN COEX Artium. Inspired by your favorite idols from SM Entertainment, this is a perfect place to buy albums, merchandise, and more.

7. MBC World Hallyu Theme Park

When you visit South Korea, and you are a Kpop enthusiast, you must visit one of the major broadcasting stations within the country. MBC created a Hallyu-theme park where they have virtual reality and holography you can experience.

8. Lotte FITIN

Haven’t got a chance to attend a live concert? No worries! Visit Lotte FITIN to experience realistic hologram concerts. You can enjoy K-Live of YG Entertainment and JYP Entertainment artists.
