Mingles: Best Korean Fine Dining Restaurant in Seoul

If you are looking the best fusion between Korean cuisine and fine-dining experience, Mingles is truly one of the best Korean restaurants you can ever find in Seoul—and now the world!

Located in Gangnam, Seoul, Mingles is a contemporary Korean fine dining establishment coming from the magic hands of its genius owner-chef, Kang Min Goo, and his impressive culinary background. He trained under Basque master Martín Berasategui in San Sebastian and worked at the famous Nobu restaurants in Miami and the Bahamas. But it’s his explorations around Korea, searching for unique ingredients, that truly set his culinary creations apart.

Furthermore, Mingles is celebrated for blending Eastern and Western cuisines with finesse. This approach has earned it the title of Best Restaurant in Korea for four consecutive years. The restaurant’s industrial-chic basement setting also complements Chef Kang’s innovative seven-course tasting menu. And so, here, you’ll find reimagined Korean classics, many featuring his homemade ‘jang,’ the trio of fermented sauces essential to Korean cooking.

Not only that, but Chef Kang’s attention to detail is also evident in every aspect of Mingles, Seoul. It is all very clearly presented from the elegant ceramic ware to the thoughtfully designed interior that balances warmth and luxury. His philosophy marries tradition with modern techniques, creating a harmonious blend of old and new. At the same time, his dishes like Abalone and Cabbage Seon as well as Fish Mandu has also highlighted the creativity and talent of Chef Kang and his team.

“Respecting the roots of traditional Korean cuisine while introducing new techniques and emotions, we aim to present a new color unique to Mingles. We are excited to share the new taste of Korea that we create.”

Kang Min Goo.
