Nevertheless, a Korean drama, features some beautiful filming locations that you can visit in your trip to South Korea. 

If you haven’t seen Nevertheless, here is the plot synopsis:

Park Jae Eon is an art student at a university. He appears to be pleasant to everyone and is typically cheery. Nonetheless, he is unconcerned about others and refuses to be in a romantic relationship. He unexpectedly falls in love with Yoo Na Bi and begins to change. 

Yoo Na Bi studies art at the same university as Park Jae Eon. She had previously broken up with her first boyfriend due to his unfaithfulness. After that, she resolved to be unmoved by love, and she then meets Park Jae Eon and falls in love with him.

Nevertheless Filming Locations 

Sapgyoho Amusement Park

The Sapgyoho Amusement Park in Dangjin-si is the place that Na Bi and her pals visit in episode 7.

Sapgyoho Amusement Park, also known as SGH Land, was founded in 2004 and is located in Unjeong Village in Dangjin’s Sinpyeong Township, about 1.5 hours south of Seoul.

The giant Ferris wheel and bumper cars are among the attractions included in Nonetheless. Apart from these, the park also has a carousel and other rides you would expect in any amusement park.

3917 Majung

Jae Eon meets Yang Do Hyuk for the first time at Do Hyuk’s guest house (Episode 7).

This is actually a cultural facility known as 3917 Majung, which also serves as a guest home and cafe.

Nam Woo-jin, an expert in urban regeneration initiatives, opened 3917 Majung as a cultural venue in 2017. The complex, which includes a traditional Korean hanok café, three guesthouses (which can sleep up to 26 people), and a performance hall, is set on little more than 3 acres (1.3 hectares) of gardens and bamboo forest in Naju’s neighborhood Geumnam.

Yeosu Traditional West Market

Thefilming location of the scene in which Na Bi and Do Hyuk visit a marketis Yeosu’s Seo Sijang, which translates to West Market.

It was established for business in 1934 and became a permanent market in May 1982.

The market is well-known for its fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables grown in the Yeosu area, and shops selling clothing and household items and a variety of restaurants.

The market also sells Yeosu honey bread and gyeongdan, a typical sticky rice treat.

The filming locations for Nevertheless are outside the main market building, along the stream, and across the street from the entrance to the Gyodong Fish Market.

Holtong Beach

Do Hyuk and Na Bi go camping at Holtong Beach in the Episode 6 of the K-drama. 

The stunning view of the sea is not clear in the picture, but its marine waters are amazing in person. Water sports such as windsurfing and skiing are available at Holtong Beach! This stretch of water is recognized for its calmness and gentle waves, making it ideal for various activities.

If you go there during pleasant weather, you will be treated to bright blue water and a white, sandy beachfront.

Mimiok

Yang Do Hyuk is Na Bi’s childhood friend and chef at “Miok Restaurant.” This restaurant, where Yang Do Hyuk and Yoo Na Bi celebrate her birthday at the end of a long and frustrating day, is called “Mimiok.”

Mimiok, which translates as “beautiful rice house,” is a South Korean restaurant specializing in organic rice noodles, having three locations in Seoul and one in Ulsan. Its Sinyongsan Branch, housed in a hanok, is located in the Yongsan District of Seoul at Hangangno 1-3.

Mimesis Art Museum

The art museum which Na Bi visits in the first episode is Mimesis Art Museum.

Mimesis Art Museum is a private art collection located in Paju Book City in Paju’s neighborhood Munbal–part of Paju’s administrative neighborhood Gyoha, a three-minute walk from Laflor Paju Flower Café.

This award-winning structure, inspired by the shape of a cat, was built between 2006 and 2009 and co-designed by Foreign Office Architects.

Shinsegae Central City

Shinsegae Central City is one of the filming locations of Nevertheless. It is the hotel in episode 6 when Jae Eon comes here to meet his mother in room 3208 of the Ambassador Penthouse.

Shinsegae Central City, founded on November 3, 1977, is a ‘culture complex’ in Seoul’s Banpo area, Seocho District. It is regarded as a “little city within a city” (thus the name), with retail, entertainment, culture, lodging, and public utilities.

Debunk

In episode 9, Seo Ji-wan and Yoon Sol from University Sculpture Department visit their high school buddies at this cafe.

Debunk is a café that also functions as a music and theatre venue and an exhibition hall on occasion. It is located in the Mapo district of Seoul, in the neighborhood of Hapjeong.

Debunk exudes all the vibes of a creative space, and it’s purposefully designed to do so. There are numerous chairs near massive bookcases, low tables and couches for socializing, and higher tables with lamps for performing personal work. It’s quite roomy and cozy in there.
