Hosujip
You should check out this place if you’re in the mood for some delicious Korean food near Seoul Station. Hosujip is one of the best restaurants near Seoul Station. This old-school restaurant has been around for over 30 years and specializes in braised chicken and grilled chicken skewers. Expect to wait in line during peak times because it is one of the area’s most popular restaurants. But it’s worth it – this is a great opportunity to try authentic local cuisine!
For only 2,000 KRW, you can enjoy an authentic Korean chicken skewer right off the grill. These skewers are grilled fresh in front of the shop, so everyone passing by will stop to take a look.
Dutum
Dutum is an acclaimed pork belly barbecue joint. The word ‘dutum’ signifies ‘thick’ in Korean and refers to the thickness of their 21-day-aged meat. No wonder there’s always a line out the door!
Upon entering Dutum, you’ll notice that it looks similar to other Korean barbecue restaurants. The place is always crowded with customers. Gukmin Hoegwan
Gukmin Hoegwan is a popular samgyeopsal restaurant located near Seoul Station and is one of the best restaurants. Unlike Dutum, they sell thin, frozen pork belly. The pork belly here is still fresh because it was only recently frozen. The store’s interior has a stylish retro-themed design that makes it seem like an old Korean building.
The store’s atmosphere is so amazing that it was featured on the Korean variety show Running Man. If you don’t like greasy food, frozen samgyeopsal is a much better option because it doesn’t produce as much oil. You can eat it wrapped in lettuce, with grilled spring greens, or sprinkled with pepper.
Yuzu Ramen
This Japanese ramen restaurant is so popular with Koreans around Seoul Station that it’s almost always crowded! The interior is small but cozy, and the counter seats are like you’d find in Japan. The namesake dish and specialty at this restaurant are the Yuzu Shio Ramen. The primary ramen menu item is, quite simply, yuzu salt ramen. You’ll find that the soup broth is light in comparison to traditional Japanese ramen, while the char siu pork slices are thicker than average. Take a bite of their Korean-style interpretation of Japanese ramen!
Seoul Station Cheoldo Tteokbokki
Tteokbokki is a Korean dish that consists of rice cakes, fish cakes, and vegetables in a chili pepper-based sauce. This restaurant serving tteokbokki is full of personality, with a bright red exterior. When you enter the store, you’ll be met with posters and old retro goods displayed all over the walls. The store is small, so it’s recommended to avoid peak lunchtime hours if you eat there.
This restaurant is popular with locals and foreigners, as evidenced by the pictures of foreign customers on the walls. The tteokbokki is the classic, old-school Korean tteokbokki, which is not too spicy but sweet and delicious. Even those who don’t like spicy food can enjoy this dish. The texture of the rice cake was just right – definitely worth trying with the gimbap!
Ojeje
Ojeje is a trendy pork cutlet restaurant that has recently become popular. The shop’s interior and exterior are very chic, with a black color scheme. Each table is covered in a luxurious tablecloth. The tonkatsu at Ojeje is so tender it will practically melt in your mouth. The cold udon has a nice, chewy texture. They use matcha powder in the noodles to give them an extra zing of flavor.
To avoid long waits, we recommend visiting during non-peak hours or calling ahead to ask about the wait time.
NUSI
NUSI is a brunch cafe that has been gaining popularity among locals in Hoam-dong, Seoul. The restaurant contains two floors: the ground floor and the basement, each with its unique atmosphere. The first floor lets in natural sunlight and is decorated with wooden furniture, creating a warm vibe. At the same time, the basement gives off more of a mysterious feeling, perfect for hosting parties.
The Coffee Brûlée is the most popular dessert at NUSI. It consists of a coffee with vanilla ice cream, banana brûlée, and cinnamon powder. This delicious dish has been extremely trendy in Korea for a few years now because it perfectly mixes warm and cold flavors and sweet and bitter tastes.
The Kimchivocado is an inventive dish with eggs and avocado served over kimchi fried rice. The piquant taste of kimchi is subdued by the creamy avocado, making it a good choice for those who don’t enjoy spicy dishes.
Tokkijung
The most well-known dish at Tokkijung is the Cream Curry Udon, which combines curry and cream– an unlikely but tasty pair. The Seoul Station branch often has a line out the door. However, it’s conveniently located next to Lotte Outlet, so patrons can shop while they wait. It is one of the best restaurants near Seoul Station.
Hamburger steak rice is not only delicious, but it comes with a plethora of side dishes. You will be full after your meal! The stir-fried pork is also noteworthy, and the sauce Hooked you at first bite. Individuals often crave more. Tokkijung Seoul Station Branch is easy to find, located by the Lotte Supermarket and KTX near Seoul Station. Go up the escalator, and on the right, you’ll see a rabbit sign–easy peasy!
