Sorisomoon Books (책방 소리소문)

Nestled in the tranquil countryside of Jeju, Sorisomoon is a bookstore that offers a refreshing departure from the typical commercial establishments. This charming haven is dedicated solely to books, providing a curated selection of titles that cater to diverse interests.

The owner of Sorisomoon, a former employee of a large bookstore chain in Seoul, opened the establishment with a vision to create a space where people could truly appreciate books. Unlike many contemporary bookstores that focus on selling merchandise or providing additional services, Sorisomoon prioritizes the books themselves. Sorisomoon’s collection features a carefully chosen assortment of books, spanning various genres and themes. From classics to contemporary works, the bookstore caters to a wide range of readers. One of the unique offerings is the “Blind Book” series, where books are sold wrapped, adding an element of surprise and intrigue.

There are specific photo zones in and around the store. There is a cafe outside the store, and it is not associated with the bookstore. So, if you want to have a coffee after getting a book, you can visit the cafe next door. There are popular books and then there are titles that are uncommon. You will surely find some hidden gems in the bookstore! No space is wasted in the bookstore and there are books everywhere!
