Visit the Filming Locations of Star-Studded Variety Show ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’

Designed as a grand reunion travel variety show among young actors who have worked with Director Kim Seong Yoon is a star-studded project. The actors of ‘Itaewon Class,’ ‘Love in the Moonlight,’ and ‘The Sound of Magic’ are having lots of fun activities in ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’, from revisiting their drama filming locations to having hanok activity and exciting outdoor activities.

Filming Locations of Star-Studded Variety Show ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’

Kim Yoo Jung, Ji Chang Wook, Park Seo Joon Revisit the Filming Locations

At the beginning of the program, Kim Yoo Jung, Ji Chang Wook, and Park Seo Joon were appointed team captains and had to find their teammates in ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’ by picking the correct filming locations.

DanBam 2 and Baekbeom Square Park

Park Seo Joon chose the wrong filming location before he could find Ryu Kyung Soo and Lee Joo Young on the rooftop of DanBam 2. It was a pivotal setting in ‘Itaewon Class,’ and the fictional pub is now a restaurant in business under the registered name ‘Seoul Bam.’ The restaurant serves sundubu jjigae and doeji sukju bokkeum, among other dishes.

Afterward, they headed to Baekbeom Square Park to pick up Kwon Nara. They continued the activity as a team of four before Ahn Byo Hyun joined them in the later episode due to the shooting schedule.

Jeonju Hyanggo and Seodongyo Theme Park

The genius and thoughtful captain of the Moonlight team, Kim Yoo Jung, trusted her instinct and found Chae Soo Bin and Kwak Dong Yeon at Jeonju Hyanggo. This was where Lee Yeong, Hong Ra On, and Kim Byung Yeon (‘Love in the Moonlight’ characters) frequently spent their time together and the hiding place of Byung Yeon and Ra On.

Next, they went to Seodongyo Theme Park in Buyeo, where Jung Jin Young was waiting for them. It was the place where Kim Yoon Sung hid Hong Ra On after the beautiful dance performance. Temporarily, they had a team of four as Park Bo Gum just had arrived from Paris.

Yonsei University

Coming from the mysterious amusement park in Yongma Land, Ji Chang Wook went to the alley which featured the rain of money scene in ‘The Sound of Magic’ to meet Choi Sung Eun and Hwang In Youp.

From there, they headed to Yonsei University, where the famous umbrella scene of Yoon Ah Yi and Na Il Deung was shot. They have finally completed the team by picking up Ji Hye Won and Kim Bo Yoon.

Team Lunch

After completing the first task of ‘Young Actors’ Retreat,’ each team had lunch in different locations. However, they had to pay for the meals with the money given to them, which was not enough for a team lunch. Therefore, they played another game in the restaurant.

Bada Sikdang / Sea Restaurant

Itaewon Class team have lunch together at this small yet cozy restaurant. Bada Sikdang is a restaurant in the alley of Itaewon. One must-eat menu is Budae Jjigae, a type of Korean jjigae (stew) made with ham, sausage, baked beans, kimchi, instant noodle, and gochujang.

Yeonipdam / Lotus Leaf

While in Buyeo, Love In The Moonlight team has lunch together at this restaurant to try the local food that contains the purity and health of lotus leaves.

This restaurant serves samgyetang wrapped in lotus leaves and tteokgalbi with lotus leaf rice as the main menu. In addition to these two mouthwatering dishes, the restaurant also sells baeksuk, fried chicken soup, and pork cutlets.

Hocheon Restaurant

Meanwhile, The Sound of Magic team has lunch together at Hocheon Restaurant, which specializes in buckwheat makguksu and charcoal bulgogi. Buckwheat noodles and soba noodles are made with 100% pure buckwheat, while charcoal bulgogi and tteokgalbi are direct-fired bulgogi grilled directly over natural charcoal.

The Main Location of ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’ – Sanghwawon Korea Villa

The three teams headed to the ‘Young Actors’ Retreat’ main location, Sanghwawon Korea Villa, where they would spend retreat days together.

Sanghwawon Korea Villa is a villa complex located in Sanghwawon. Each villa is a duplex structure with all rooms on the first and second floors. From the room, we can enjoy the view of the pine trees.

In episode 4, some of the young actors would spend their time experiencing hanok activity in the villa’s dining room. They spent a convenient time enjoying tea while talking about random things in their mind.

Daecheon Ziptrek

While Ji Chang Wook, Choi Sung Eun, Ji Hye Won, Ryu Kyung Soo, Jung Jin Young, Kwak Dong Yeon, and Chae Soo Bin enjoyed their time in the hanok, the other seven actors went to Daechon Ziptrek to experience exciting activity.

Ziptrek is located at Daecheon Beach, where we can enjoy the thrill and adventure of flying over the sea at 52 meters above the ground (613 meters long).
